Our Beginning
In July of 2014, Cancer Can't Founder, Jonathan Van Keulen, was diagnosed with a form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma. He and his wife, Becky, decided that they would fight back with everything they had.
During their cancer battle, they found so much pleasure in focusing their energy in doing good for others. They discovered that there was no non-profit in the Spokane area focusing strictly on adult oncology, so they started a non profit, Cancer Can't, from a hospital room.
Jonathan has since passed away, but Becky continues to work with Cancer Can't making sure Jonathan's vision of helping other patients comes to fruition.

Charitable Pharmacy
In April, 2023 we were able to pass House Bill 2458 into law. This law will allow not only cancer patients, but all patients to donate back unused medications to a pharmacy and other patients in need of high cost meds to have access to these unused medications.
High cost medications are a huge problem in the oncology world. We are working with pharmacists around the state to develop a group of pharmacists who will accept back medications and redistribute them. Our funds are going to creating an online database that these pharmacists will use to enter returned medications and allow residents throughout the state to find their needed medication.
